  • AGR MOVES INTO RENOVATED CHAPTER HOUSE

On the afternoon of July 29, 2018, Alpha Kappa Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho at the University of Tennessee finally had the official open house/ribbon cutting on our new home.   The event was well attended by both alumni, undergraduates and UT personal; 150+ alumni, actives, friends and guests were in attendance.   We also had in attendance Matt Killingsworth who was the fund raiser from Pennington and visited a lot of alumni.  We were very happy to have Bill Pace from UT Facilities services as he was a great help throughout this lengthy process.  Also representing UT at the Ribbon Cutting were Dr. Keith Barber, AKSN-1205, UTIA Vice Chancellor; Dr. Shea Kidd-House, Dean of Students; Dr. Danny Glassman, Associate Dean of Students; and Trey Robb, Assistant Director Sorority and Fraternity Life.

Our own special alumni, Donnie and Terry Smith were there to help with the celebration and ribbon cutting.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the renovated House, please stop by if you are in Knoxville for a football game or just passing through town. This event was the culmination of almost 5 years of work by the alumni and a proud moment for Alpha Kappa chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho.  The renovation and improvements ended up costing $2.8 million. Your  gifts made the renovation possible.
